Performance dates: Ashtalaxmi & Bhavayami Raghuraman

Save the date! On Sunday, October 27th, Nymph will take the stage alongside other talented classical Indian dancers at the Divali show Ashtalaxmi & Bhavayami Raghuraman, debuting at Theater de Regentes. This enchanting performance will feature the timeless art of Bharata Natyam, beautifully presented by a group of advanced amateur dancers from The Hague.

Ashtalaxmi & Bhavayami Raghuraman is a two-part performance for music and dance lovers that is entirely dedicated to the celebration of Diwali. The celebration of Diwali focuses on the worship of the goddess Laxmi. In the first part, 8 dancers bring the 8 manifestations of Laxmi on stage, symbolizing 8 sources of wealth.

Supported by live music, the second part of the performance tells the story from the Ramayana, about the battle that Shri Ram wages together with Hanoeman (the god / king with the monkey face) to bring his wife Sita, who has been kidnapped by the demon Ravana to (Sri) Lanka, back home.

The dancers are currently immersed in intense rehearsals, fine-tuning every movement and detail. Their dedication and hard work are evident as they prepare for the big day. With excitement building, the dancers are eager to bring their passion for Bharata Natyam to the stage and share this beautiful art form with the audience in celebration of Divali.
